Hello! welcome to JJs Web, my online portfolio and personal space. On this site you will find my portfolio of websites that i have produced as well as other peices of work i have created such as reports, banners and wallpapers. I have included some random nonsense to fill the page out plus there is contact details at the bottom if you wish to get in touch. My CV is also available to download.
1. About Me
Im a keen web designer from North Yorkshire with a 2:1 degree in Computer Studies. I have always been fascinated with the Internet since i first had it installed way back in 1998. Through College and University i studied IT in many different forms, Multimedia, Programming, Databases and Web Design. It was the latter that really got my interest. After a couple of years of inactivity, i got myself back into the world of Web Development/Design. I bought myself a couple of books and started from scratch, producing a number of websites for business and leisure. Im constantly trying out new technologies/programs to develope my skills further, and to help me pursue a career in Web Design/Development.
Current main skills are: HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
Secondary Skills: ASP, MySQL, PHP, SEO and VB (learning all the time)

Site Description: A graphical one page site which uses flash to allow the user to view a number of pictures from the set of the 2007 film 'Atonement' filmed in redcar. Link: Atonement |
Site Description: An ASP.Net built website thats allows for a lot of user control over the information they wish to view via databases. I used SQL server 2005 to link the users to the stored information. The site content is based on the 2007/08 season of Manchester United. Link: COMING SOON! |

Site Description: My first ever attempt at designing a website using CSS instead of tables. The site itself is an online guide to the town of Paphos in Cyprus. Complete with local attraction guides, eating out and accomadation information. |

Site Description: A very basic website I created in 2006 which follows the construction of a rollercoaster at Flamingo Land. Its unfinished and was built using tables in dreamweaver. This was my first ever website to be published online. |

You will have seen LoveFilm advertised on TV and online and i fully recommend you sign up for a free trial. Its a fantastic service, easy to use and there is a choice of thousands of DVD's as well as console games. Its a great opportunity to watch those films you often here about as fantastic, without the risk of buying the film and not enjoying it.
